Envelope combinations are used in extracting maximum and minimum forces without selecting numerous number of defined load combinations. Creating Envelope combination is a tedious task especially for new users of SAP2000. Clubbing multiple load combinations into one manually will be a thing of a past.
SAP2000 Envelope Combination Creator is a tool that will instantly create an envelope combination based on user selected load combinations.
1. Open a SAP2000 Model. If multiple SAP2000 models have been opened, the tool will connect to the first model you have opened.
2. Open the V-Structures SAP2000 Envelope Combination Creator by double clicking the icon.
3. Press Import Load Combinations from SAP2000. The Load Combinations from SAP2000 List will be populated with all the load combinations defined in the model.
4. Select all load combinations you want to be included in the Envelope Combination.
5. Use arrow keys to transfer the selected load combinations to the right-hand side list.
6. Input the preferred name for the Envelope Combination.
7. Press Add Envelope combination to SAP2000 button to create the Combination in SAFE.
8. To check the Envelope combination, go to Define-Load Combination.
